چکیده

The capacitive pressure transmitters consist of an isolating diaphragm connected to a sensing line through some inner tubes which contain silicone oil. The accuracy of the sensor is determined by the efficiency of the filling process with silicone oil in the transmitter inner chambers, so that the fact of not filling completely any of the transmitter chambers can affect the dynamic response of it. In fact, the oil loss syndrome is one of the most important breakdowns, since the sensor dynamic behaviour is no longer linear. In this work the Hilbert transform is applied to detect the non-linearity in the sensor response to a sinusoidal pressure wave. Such sensor suffers the oil loss syndrome at an incipient phase. The ill sensor is compared with a linear one and the efficiency of the analysis is proved for the detection of a non-linear behaviour as opposed to the traditional methods based on Fourier analysis. At last, a non-linear model taken from literature is validated with empirical data. & 2009 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

A Time-Frequency approach for EEG signal segmentation

The record of human brain neural activities, namely electroencephalogram (EEG), is generally known as a non-stationary and nonlinear signal. In many applications, it is useful to divide the EEGs into segments within which the signals can be considered stationary. Combination of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert transform, called Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT), is a new and powerful ...

A MEMS Capacitive Microphone Modelling for Integrated Circuits

In this paper, a model for MEMS capacitive microphone is presented for integrated circuits.  The microphone has a diaphragm thickness of 1 μm, 0.5 × 0.5 mm2 dimension, and an air gap of 1.0 μm. Using the analytical and simulation results, the important features of MEMS capacitive microphone such as pull-in voltage and sensitivity are obtained 3.8v and 6.916 mV/Pa, respectively while there is no...

Design of High Sensitivity and Linearity Microelectromechanical Systems Capacitive Tire Pressure Sensor using Stepped Membrane

This paper is focused on a novel design of stepped diaphragm for MEMS capacitive pressure sensor used in tire pressure monitoring system. The structure of sensor diaphragm plays a key role for determining the sensitivity of the sensor and the non-linearity of the output.First the structures of two capacitive pressure sensors with clamped square flatdiaphragms, with different thicknesses are inv...

Nonlinear and Non-stationary Vibration Analysis for Mechanical Fault Detection by Using EMD-FFT Method

The Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is a powerful method for nonlinear and non-stationary vibrations analysis. This approach consists of two basic parts of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert spectral analysis (HSA). To achieve the reliable results, Bedrosian and Nuttall theorems should be satisfied. Otherwise, the phase and amplitude functions are mixed together and consequently, the ...

Applying Similarity Theory and Hilbert Huang Transform for Estimating the Differences of Pig-s Blood Pressure Signals between Situations of Intestinal Artery Blocking and Unblocking

A mammal’s body can be seen as a blood vessel with complex tunnels. When heart pumps blood periodically, blood runs through blood vessels and rebounds from walls of blood vessels. Blood pressure signals can be measured with complex but periodic patterns. When an artery is clamped during a surgical operation, the spectrum of blood pressure signals will be different from that of normal situation....
